Terms of Use
1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Valu. By using our services (including Valu Finance, CURA Health, ServiceKonnect, and BeelzPay), you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. By accessing or using the platform, you confirm that you can form a binding contract with us and that you agree to comply with these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not access or use our services.
2. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process (including BVN and identity verification via Varifai when required). You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account. Never share your transaction PIN with anyone, including Valu staff.
3. Services & Payments
Valu provides an ecosystem for financial transactions and professional service connections. All payments made through the platform are processed via our secure payment partners (Nomba). You agree to pay all fees associated with your use of the services as described on the platform. All bill payments carry a flat ₦10 fee, while wallet-to-wallet transfers are free.
4. Prohibited Activities
You may not use Valu for any illegal purpose, including fraud, money laundering, funding terrorism, or the distribution of prohibited content. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these policies, and to report such activities to the relevant law enforcement agencies in Nigeria.
Privacy Policy
1. Data Collection
Your privacy is important to us. We collect information such as your name, email, phone number, and transaction history to provide our services. For KYC purposes, we securely collect identity documents and BVN via Varifai. We may also collect device information and location data (specifically for CURA and ServiceKonnect) to improve proximity matching and user experience.
2. How We Use Data
Your data is used strictly to facilitate transactions, verify identity, prevent fraud, and communicate important updates. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Data shared with service providers (e.g., sharing your name with a booked artisan or a pharmacy) is limited to what is strictly necessary to fulfill the service.
3. Data Security
We use end-to-end encryption and industry-standard security protocols to protect your data. Identity data is hashed and secured within our Varifai engine. While we strive for absolute security, no system is entirely impenetrable, and we encourage users to maintain strong security practices by using complex passwords and keeping their PIN secure.
